About Boone Film Festival

Our High Country outdoor community is large, healthy, and vibrant.  A few Boone locals decided it’s high time that we create an opportunity to celebrate the stories of adventure, environment, and culture found in the Appalachian Region. The Second Boone Film Festival will take place during the last weekend in September.  On Thursday, September 28, 2017 we will screen the Youth category films at Watauga High School’s Ross Auditorium.  At Appalachian State University’s Schaefer Center on Saturday, September 30, 2017 we will have a matinee screening of the Culture & Environment genres, and in the evening we will screen the Adventure genre films and have the Awards ceremony.  Details including ticket sales, additional events, show times, etc will be forthcoming.
